I really enjoyed this book! "The Gray Apostle" is an innovative piece of story-telling and historical fiction. Mr. Barr tells a suspenseful and mysterious 'spy vs spy' story that is woven into the Gospel account. Along with historical figures found in scripture, the reader is introduced to an interesting set of 'new' characters. Also, the writer does a masterful job of including the geography, customs, and other details of the period, while keeping the story humming along. I can definitely see the possibilities for more to come -- and, I hope we will see more from Mr. Barr! I certainly recommend this book. Steve O, Atlanta
